SGT. MIKE BATTLE: THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO! #4

Relive the Adventure

Having spent most of his childhood playing with ACTION FORCE toys and copying stories from the comic, it was inevitable that Graham Pearce would use pay his own affectionate tribute within SMB:GAH.

Retelling” the adventures of Sgt Mike Battle’s BATTLE FORCE was not only a dream come true for Pearce but it was also perfectly timed just as a wave of 1980s nostalgia hit the world of popular culture.

Whilst deceptively innocent-looking, yet still incredibly evil and subversive, it was the animal-themed terrorist group of PANDA that serves as the villains who threaten the West with Nuclear destruction.

The four consecutive and high-octane chapters in this issue are:

SGT. MIKE BATTLE’S BATTLE FORCE: KOALA STOMPER! #847 March 1987

SGT. MIKE BATTLE’S BATTLE FORCE: PANDA STOMPER! #848 April 1987

SGT. MIKE BATTLE’S BATTLE FORCE: PANDA STOMPER! #849 May 1987

SGT. MIKE BATTLE’S BATTLE FORCE: PANDA STOMPER! #850 June 1987
