COMICS INTERNATIONAL reviews #1
"Graham Pearce is parodying the All-American comicbook action hero, maintaining a set of plots threads through different comicbook eras
from the 1940s to the present, but without making any attempt to emulate the art or dialogue styles of any of those eras. It's an odd but good choice;
the concept carries the parody, which in turn supports Pearce's fairly rude art and writing, making this much more enjoyable than it might have been".

COMICS INTERNATIONAL reviews #1 again
"The adventures of one "Sgt Mike Battle" the non too subtle parody of every gung-ho American super soldier strip has always seemed a little strange
in anthology titles. As a collected edition however it works much better as the tone is set from cover to cover. The story is great, the art
however varies in quality, but this can be expected from a collection of strips that have run for any length of time".
